About Kaş

Kaş is located on the beautiful Turquoise Coast in the south western region of Antalya. Popularly referred to as the Turkish Riviera Kaş is a small, vibrant town surrounded by striking cliffs and olive groves.

History of Kaş

Modern day Kaş was founded in the 4th century BC and was located in the ancient Lycian City of Antiphellos. Given it’s rich history it’s no surprise that Kaş boasts the following ancient ruins in the heart of the town; an Hellenistic ampitheatre, Scarcophagus of the King and striking Rock Tombs nestled into the steep hillside.

 

The population of Kas reached 62,000 by 2022 however this number swells in the summer months to around 110,000 as tourists flock to take in the delights of Kas.

How to Get to Kaş

The closest airport to Kaş is Dalaman airport. The average drive time from Dalaman is around 2 hours. Antalya Airport is roughly a 3 hour and 15 minutes drive to Kaş.
